I have been making Selfbows out of Osage Orange as well as building my own Recurve bows.
For the last couple of years I have been shooting a Black Douglas Ultra Take Down Bow custom made by Border Archery in Scotland.

As for the Antler rest:
I am shooting 3 under …
Tiller of the bow told me to elevate my arrow rest.
Gives me a much better arrow flight.
Did not want to put anything like a flipper rest on that bow. Besides that, I like the way it appears and gives my hand a better placement.

law : Par exception aux dispositions de l’article 2, les non-résidents, français ou étrangers, détenteurs de permis de chasser délivrés à l’étranger ou de toute pièce administrative en tenant lieu, ayant procédé à la validation de ces documents dans les conditions applicables aux permis de chasser délivrés en France, pour une durée de trois ou de neuf jours consécutifs, peuvent pratiquer la chasse à l’arc sans justifier de leur participation à une session de formation à la chasse à l’arc.
that mean that : you have a french friend / he want to invite you to hunt on the territory where your friend have a hunting right / you come to him / you should be able to present a kind of hunting licence or Number or permit from where you are from and go to the hunting federation of the departement (french state) where you are going to hunt to obtain a temporary licence for 3 or 9 days
i 've no idea of the price ... In my state N° 06 hunting is close up to next september but next week i'm going to hunt one day in the state N° 13 "bouche du rhone" i' will tell you the price i'm going to pay to give you an idea about it .

The antler rest is definitely pretty cool!!!! 
As for the price of the temporary license validation in France (Kibok will confirm exactly after his validation, no worries
):
- 3 days (renewable twice): around 16 euros
- 9 days (non renewable in the same year): around 33 euros
And because we REALLY like things to be complicate here in France, sometime you have to take a "stamp" for wildboar or roe deer... which had roughly between 5 and 15 euros to the total.
Everything can be done on line now, and it is fast, so at the end of the day it is quite easy.
